Communications Manager

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced communications manager to help advance the Council’s goal of enhancing postsecondary education in Ontario.
Reporting to the Director, Executive Services you will develop and implement strategic communications plans and programs to support the business of the Council and provide advice to the executive team. Key responsibilities include: developing communications, marketing and public relations plans; handling media relations; writing and editing a variety of materials including news releases, backgrounders, fact sheets, and presentations; leading projects such as the production of the corporate annual report; and advising the management team on media, stakeholder and public relations matters.
Qualifications: a solid background in corporate communications, strategic communications planning and public relations management; experience in media relations and issues management; and, a track record of achievement and innovation coupled with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects. Candidates should have knowledge of the public sector and postsecondary education and enjoy working in a highly collaborative setting. Candidates should also have postsecondary education in a relevant field.
