Accountability
Currently, more than 585,000 students are enrolled in Ontario college and university programs, and another 120,000 student apprentices are learning trades.
In bringing evidence-based research to the continued improvement of Ontario’s postsecondary system, HEQCO is exploring how to design a responsive and efficient postsecondary education system.
As part of our research focus, we investigate
- how Ontario’s postsecondary system is performing on quality and accessibility objectives,
- what design changes would enhance performance, and
- how the government and postsecondary institutions can be held accountable for effective use of public and tuition dollars.
